Today, a meeting of the Council for Just Transition was held, during which participants discussed the next steps in the implementation of the just transition process. The discussion focused on institutional coordination, alignment with the Reform Agenda, securing financial support, and measures to support employees in the energy sector.
Council members reviewed the progress made in the implementation of the Annual Plan for Just Transition and noted that activities are moving in a positive direction. At the same time, it was emphasised that the next phase will require stronger institutional coordination and the concrete mobilisation of financial instruments to support priority activities.
Particular attention was given to aligning the Decarbonisation Roadmap with the strategic documents and programmes of the institutions involved in the process, as well as ensuring a coordinated approach to the implementation of reforms related to the energy transition.
“When we speak about decarbonisation, we are not talking about an abstract objective, but about a concrete roadmap that forms part of our obligations towards the European Union. For this process to be realistic and sustainable, it must be embedded in the strategic documents, programmes, and planning of all institutions involved in this agenda,” said Minister Bozhinovska.
